Eligibility

 Those at any age and of any nationality are eligible to apply.

●Competition Registration Fee: 20,000 yen  

●Maximum Number of Participants     80 people

●Accompanist

(1)Official accompanists will be provided; however, competitors will not be able to choose a particular accompanist.

(2)Competitors can bring their own accompanist. In that case, the competitor must bear all the expenses for the accompanist. 


Prizes

First Prize         300,000 Japanese yen

Second Prize    200,000 Japanese yen

Third Prize        100,000 Japanese yen

※ Additional special prizes may be awarded.


※ Notice

(1)All performances during the competition will be open to the public.

(2)The order of the performances for the first round will be decided at random through a drawing system by AFF directors after the application closing date.

(3)All participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses. The organizer does not take any responsibilities for any personal incidents. You are encouraged to purchase insurance coverage.

(4)All rights related to the performance during the competition including the recording, images, broadcasting and sales of recordings shall belong to the AFF.

(5)Participants are encouraged to attend all other events of the 11th Asia Flute Congress in Kobe 2024.


Required Pieces

◆First Round

・Choose the variations you like, and make within 4 minute-performance

・ no publisher preference 

・ Participants have to perform by memory

    M. Marais : Les Folies d' Espagne for flute solo

 

◆Second Round

・ Perform two pieces as indicated below

・ Perform in the order of (1) and then (2)

・ no publisher preference

・ Participants do not have to perform by memory

(1) C. P. E. Bach : Sonate for flute solo in a minor Wq132

・perform all movements

・ for the 2nd and 3rd movements, repeat the first half only

(2) J. Donjon : Études de Salon  No.1 Élégie

 

◆Final Round

・ Perform either(1) or (2)by memory, with the cadenzas by any composer

・ no publisher preference

(1) W. A. Mozart: Concerto No.1 G-dur KV313

(2) W. A. Mozart: Concerto No.2 D-dur KV314
